THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

I heard some (supposed to be smart) economist say,
“If the debt ceiling isn’t raised, the government will cease to function.”

All I could think of to say was,
“YAAAAAY!”

Rom 8:11-15
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

What a marvelous THOUGHT:
If you have surrendered to Christ as Lord, then His Holy Spirit “dwelleth” in YOU!

Just think: the power of God that raised Jesus from the dead, lives in YOU!

What a marvelous CONSOLATION:
Christians are not “debtors” to living like the world;
they are debtors to living by God’s SPIRIT!

Real living is not money, power, and fame.
REAL living is knowing God’s Holy Spirit working IN you!
He that lives by God’s Spirit is NOT dead, and will never die!
He that exists without God is DEAD!

To live by God’s Holy Spirit is to know that you will never have to face His JUSTICE!
Jesus ALREADY paid that debt!

However, we still remain “debtors” to God.

We are indebted to Him for His mercy.
He loved us enough to grant eternal amnesty and eternal heaven!

We are indebted to Him for His grace.
He continually pours divine favor upon us daily.

We are indebted to Him for His power.
He has raised us from deadness of sin to realness of life.

We are indebted to Him for His immutability.
Though we are constantly changes, God “changeth not!”

Thank God, when our “debt ceiling” is raised to Him,
HE NEVER FAILS!!

Love ya!
