THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Little Milly, from the city, went to visit with her cousin Mary in the country.
She came home telling her parents all about the horses, cows, chickens, etc.

"But the FUNNIEST thing that happened while I was there," she continued,
"was when a little pig backed into the electric fence and cause a short circus!"

SCRIPTURE__________________________________

Heb 1:1-2
1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
KJV

Acts 17:26-28
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
KJV

THOUGHT____________________________________

God has placed everything and everyone in certain places by His providential care.
God has made us "of one blood" (Acts 1:26 above).
We are all dust and breath of God, and the same red blood runs in all our veins.

It was "by His SON," that God "made the worlds" (Heb. 1:2 above). (See also John 1:1-3)
It is HE Who has also determined our "times" (Acts 17:26 above).
Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 3:2 that there is a "time to be born, and a time to die."
God knows the time of our birth and the time of our death.

And most importantly, DURING the life God gives us, He has made Himself AVAILABLE when we seek after Him.
For He is "not far from every one of us." (Acts 1:27 above)

It is within the providential care of God that we all "..live, and move, and have our being.." (Acts 1:28 above).

Christ has given us life: "...in Him we live."
Christ has given us ability to do: " ...in Him..we move."
Christ has given us possession of our person: "..in Him...we have our being."

Christ has given us who we are, and He has made Himself available to help us be His people, living for His glory.

You see, life has meaning and purpose "in Him."
OUTSIDE of Him, life has no real meaning and purpose.

Don't cause a "short circus!"
LIVE, DO, and BE "in Him!"

Love ya!
