THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
(Back to school time is getting very close.)
Eight-year-old Tina came in from school and said,
"Mom, I was punished today at school for something I didn't do."
Mom was visibly upset!
"What's your teacher's name?" she asked.
Tina told her.
Mom said, "I'm gonna call her and have a talk with her!"
A few minutes later, Mom returned, belt in hand!
Tina asked, "Why do you have the belt, Mom?"
Mom said, "Because you didn't tell me that what you didn't do
was your HOMEWORK!"
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Light from the Word.
Our Lord is very gracious.
He promises to TEACH us the correct way to live, and,
to GUIDE us in the right direction spiritually.
God doesn't want His "sheep" falling into precarious gorges!
Perhaps you received a promotion, requiring more responsibility.
Perhaps you have come to "hard times" and lack financially.
Perhaps your job requires meeting new people.
Perhaps you have recently lost a loved one.
God is there.
He is ready to "teach" and "guide" you.
He has promised never to leave nor forsake you.
But are you doing your "homework?"
Jesus said, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples
indeed;" (John 8:31).
Do your homework so God can do HIS work!
