THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The song "'Til The Storm Passes By" is actually a prayer.
"In the dark of the midnight,
have I oft hid my face,
while the storm howled about me,
and there was no hiding place.
Mid the crash of the thunder,
precious Lord hear my cry,
keep me safe 'til the storm passes by.
'Til the storm passes over,
'til the thunder sounds no more,
'til the clouds roll forever from the sky,
hold me fast, let me stand,
in the hollow of Thy hand,
keep me safe, till the storm passes by."
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Daniel found peace in the lion's den because he was
"praying and making supplication before his God." (Dan. 6:11)
Peter found peace in the raging storm when he was sinking in the water because
"he cried, saying, Lord, save me." (Matt 14:30)
Here on this earth, we shall never face a day without it's difficulty.
Jesus said, "In the world ye shall have tribulation:..." (John 16:33)
However, Jesus also said, "but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
Finding peace is not a matter of overcoming the circumstances that surround you.
Peace is found in knowing Jesus, the Overcomer of all things.
No Jesus, no peace.
Know Jesus, know peace.
Where do you dwell?
John said, "Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us,
because he hath given us of his Spirit." (1 John 4:13)
Today, may your peace of Christ on the inside,
flow through you to the outside.
