Two men were arguing whether the Bible really said a certain thing.

Finally, in desperation, one man said,
“AW! You don’t know what the Bible says!”

The other man said, “I certainly do!”

The first man said, “Ok, then. Recite the Lord’s Prayer.”

The second man began,
“Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.....”

The first man said, “Ok, Ok! I didn’t believe you knew it!”

John 8:31-32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue
in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Light from the WORD.

If we examine the very first sin, we can see that we should LEARN the truth,
and we should be OBEDIENT in the truth.

Here’s what the devil said to tempt Eve:
“And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God SAID,
Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”
(Gen. 3:1)

This is what Eve said when the devil tempted her:
“We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:” (Gen. 3:2)
“But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said,
Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.”

(Gen. 3:3)

Eve KNEW the truth, but allowed herself to be DECEIVED.

The Bible says that Adam was NOT deceived.
“And Adam was not deceived,” (1Tim. 2:14).

Adam KNEW the truth, but DISOBEYED.

Today, the ole devil still continues his evil manner of deceptive lies.
He will ask, “Yea, hath God REALLY said....?”

Did God REALLY say:
adultery is sin? (Ex. 20:13)
murder is sin? (Ex. 20:16)
gossip is sin? (Ex. 20:16)
there is NO OTHER way to be saved but through Jesus Christ? (John 14:6), Acts 4:12)

Know the Truth (Jesus), and know the truth (the Word).
Then, continue to experience truth through obedience.

Love ya!
