THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
I find that one good thing done heartily is
worth much more than a million excuses,
and worth far more than a thousand things done half-heartedly.
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might;
for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom,
in the grave, whither thou goest.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Light from the WORD.
Some cannot go overseas for mission work.
But all can give.
Some cannot preach.
But all can say “amen!”
Some cannot sing.
But all can appreciate the music.
ALL Christians can find SOMETHING to do for the Lord.
So LOOK AROUND!
What CAN you do?
Support a ministry?
Send out “praying for you” cards each week?
Make friend with a neighbor and lead them to Jesus?
Teach a class?
Sing in the choir?
Lead a prayer meeting at work each week?
The list goes ON and ON!
WHEN you find something you can do for Jesus,
“do it with thy might!”
Pray seeking God’s help, then “do it heartily, as to the Lord,
and not unto men!”
We are not saved to sit.
We are saved to serve.
It amazes me how many people sing “Standing On The Promises”
while sitting on the premises.
