So it is with Christians.
New-born Christians must "exercise" their
"senses" and GROW to use them properly.
A newborn baby must exercise muscles in order to
develop those muscles for proper use.
The child learns to reach and then to grip.
Soon, the child is able to hold the bottle alone.
Newborn Christians must exercise spiritual senses.
They must learn to SPOT the wrong and right, and then to
FOLLOW what is right.
When muscles are not exercised, atrophy develops.
There is, then, a danger of losing the usage of the muscles.
It is the same with the Christian's spiritual senses.
prayer, Bible study, attendance, giving and ministry.
Exercise of these things allows us to "discern"
