DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A young engineer who was fresh out of MIT,
was reaching the end of a job interview.
The Human Resources Person asked ,
"What starting salary were you thinking about?"

The young MIT grad said, "In the neighborhood of
$125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package."

The interviewer said, "Well, what would you say to a
package of 5 weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays,
full medical and dental, company matching retirement fund
to 50% of salary, and a company car leased every 2 years -
say, a red Corvette?"

The MIT grad sat up straight and said, "Wow! Are you kidding?"

The interviewer replied, "Yeah, but you started it!"

LIGHT from the WORD.

When you talk to some people about death, they might say,
"Are you KIDDING?"
That's because they don't want to THINK about it.

Think about this: Death is very real!
No person can "deliver his soul" (body) from the "grave."
None of us shall escape that inevitable event unless Jesus comes first.
Even then, only the genuinely saved will escape death.

But there's GOOD NEWS!
The Christian should not FEAR death!

The "spirit" (person inside of your temporary tent (See Ecc. 12:6-7)
is ETERNALLY SAVED through surrender to Christ!!
IMMEDIATELY upon physical death, the PERSON ("spirit")
of the Christian goes to be with the Lord.

AND, Upon Christ's return to this earth, the spirit of those who have
died "in Christ" shall be REJOINED with their earthly bodies!
God's Holy Spirit, Who "raised up the Lord Jesus," shall resurrect
those bodies and make them ETERNALLY whole!

For the Christian, "to be ABSENT from the body"
is to be "PRESENT with the Lord!" (See 2Cor. 5:8)

Surrendering to Jesus as Lord is the ONLY answer to death!

If your body were to die today, are you READY to meet Jesus?

Love ya!
