DAILY DEVOTION

HI!

The bank teller was spending a lot of time on Friday
cashing paychecks.

She was used to giving out clean looking bills.
But the Christmas rush had made things so hectic
at the bank, she apologized to her customer for
cashing her check with "dirty bills."

The customer said,
"That's all right, not even germs could live on my salary!"

SCRIPTURE______________________________

1 Cor 15:45-49
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a
living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual,
but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is
the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy:
and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy,
we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

THOUGHT________________________________

LIGHT from the WORD.

The bills at the bank represent the power of payment.
They also represent the power of purchasing.

Christians, we should represent the power of God's
payment for our sins, and His change in our lives!

We should also represent the purchasing power of Christ
for ANY person who surrenders their lives to Jesus!
Jesus can purchase ANY person to salvation!
They can KNOW His forgiveness, His love, His closeness.

In the Scripture above, we see that:
*The first soul, Adam, was made "from the dust of
the ground;"
(verses 46-47)
*But the "firstborn of every creature" (See Col. 1:15),
is Jesus, "the Lord from heaven" Himself!

Every soul naturally born is "of the earth, earthy:"
and exhibits the sin nature (verse 48 above).

But every soul that is born AGAIN, through surrender to
Christ, should exhibit also "the heavenly" nature.

The Christian is saved by grace through faith, washed
in the blood of Christ, and sealed in the Holy Spirit!

We are sinners by nature.
But we are saved, by the grace and power of Christ!

Therefore, we should exhibit HIS nature!
Not that we would be sinless, but we should certainly
sin LESS!

Come my fellow Christian, born by the "Breath of God."
Come let us EXHIBIT His nature, and CARE FOR other sinners!
Come let us tell the wondrous story of redemption through
Christ alone!

Love ya!
