THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Two men were lost at sea.
They had been floating on a make-shift raft for 3 days.
Finally, one man said, "Let's pray."
The other reluctantly reached out his hand.
Just then, he glimpsed something out of the corner of his eye.
He said, "WAIT! I think I see a ship!"
And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed
his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.
The "well Lahai-roi" is also called "Beer-lahai-roi;" or,
"the well of the Living One Who SEES me." (Gen 16:14)
It was here that Hagar talked to the Lord (Gen. 16:7-13).
It was there Isaac meditated in the field. (Gen. 24:62-63)
There Isaac received his greatest present from the Lord.
For there he knew the presence of the Lord.
There Isaac received his second greatest present from the Lord.
For there, Isaac met Rebecca for the first time.
Our Scripture above (Gen. 25:11) says Isaac "dwelt" there!
He chose to LIVE where he found the eternal supply of God's presence!
Most folk want to call out to God when they're in trouble.
But how many maintain an attitude of prayer each day?
Listen, it is ONLY by God's grace that we "live, and move, and have
our being;" (Acts 17:28).
Prayer is where you will find the eternal supply of God's LIVING water!
Maintain a genuine "state of prayer" each day!!
1 Thess 5:17-18
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ
Jesus concerning you.
