THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Four cousins were riding in a car to attend the funeral of a relative.
One of them asked, "When you are in your casket and friends and family are mourning over you, what would you like to hear them say about you?"
The first guy said, "I would like to hear them say that I was a great doctor of my time, and a great family man."
The second guy said, "I would like to hear that I was a wonderful husband and school teacher which made a huge difference in our children of tomorrow."
The last guy replied, "I would like to hear them say, ‘LOOK, HE'S MOVING!!!!!'"
1 Thess 5:23-24
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body
be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
God is faithful!
He is still calling people to repentance and salvation through Christ today.
He is still keeping those who answer “unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
He is still promising Heaven to those who are saved.
Heaven is a place where God’s glory is the light, and we shall need no sun or moon.
In Heaven there’ll be no sickness, sorrow, worry, or dying – because there’ll be no sin.
There, the people of God will be at perfect eternal rest, and have absolute security.
The good news is that God is KEEPING His saved children until that final day.
God, Who provides the “peace that passeth all understanding,” sanctifies His children “wholly!”
The entirety of the saved are “preserved blameless” until Jesus comes to collect them!
The problem is: our faith in His faithfulness!
I KNOW I’m not always at “peace.”
And, I KNOW I’m not always “blameless.”
But God is “FAITHFUL” to “preserve” me!
And, He is “FAITHFUL” to “preserve” ALL those who surrender to Jesus as Lord!
So, let me be faithful in moving through this life for the purpose of Jesus Christ!
