THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Some folk are so spiritually skinny they could hula hoop with a cheerio!

It’s so sad that most Christians on church membership rolls are so skinny spiritually,
‘til they turn sideways and disappear!

If we walk each day with the Lord, He crowns the whole year with His “goodness!”

The word “fatness” in the Scripture above is derived from the Hebrew deshen.
Abstractly it does mean “fatness.”
Figuratively it means abundance!

Literally, God provides MORE than His children need for healthy spiritual lives, IF
we walk in HIS “paths!”

Here are two paths for spiritually skinny Christians.

PRAYER
The nearest place to the gates of heaven is on our knees!
When we are alone in sincere prayer and communion with our Lord, we are fully aware of His presence.
A single breath of prayer brings the immediate closeness of the Lord.
An hour of sincere prayer, daily, makes us aware of His closeness at all times.

Prayer is the door to the abundant presence of the Lord!

BIBLE STUDY
There is nothing like hearing the Lord speak!
Through intentional Bible study we learn the “Word” of the Lord for direction under the guidance of His principles.
Jesus said His Holy Spirit is our teacher.
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (John 14:26)

When we study the Bible, we learn His “paths.”
And, His Holy Spirit helps us REMEMBER what He teaches us.
Isaiah said, “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it ....” (Isa 30:21)

Don’t be a “skinny” Christian.
Walk in the “paths” that “drop fatness” – abundance.

Love ya!
