A fellow came into the lumber yard asking for some "four-by-twos."
Clerk, "You mean two-by-fours?"
Man, "Let me check."
Then he went to the car, talked to his friends, and returned.
"Yep! Two-by-fours!"
Clerk, "How long do you want them?"
Man, "Let me check."
Then he went to the car, talked to his friends, and returned.
"We want them a long time. We're building a house."

1 John 1:6-7
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie,
and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one
with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us
from all sin.

Light from the WORD.

Christ is "building a house" in heaven for us to inhabit for eternity.
He desires for us to "fellowship" with Him there FOREVER!
Is your "fellowship" with Him today?
Keep in mind, the Greek word for fellowship is koinoneo,
meaning to communicate and partake with.

Fellowship with Christ in His love.
He loves the saints and is always caring for them.
He loves the lost sinners and is always trying to bring them to repentance
and salvation.
We are to love as Christ loves.

Fellowship with Christ in His desires.
He desires for God to have preeminence.
He desires for sin to be driven out.
He desires for God's will to be done in the earth.
When we are born again, we are given His desires.

Fellowship with Christ in His ministry.
He ministers to mankind by telling the Gospel and by works of kindness.
Christians are given the "ministry of reconciliation," and are to be
"ambassadors" to the world. (2Cor. 5:17-20)

Fellowship with Christ in His obedience.
The Bible tells us that when Christ became a man, He became
"obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."(Ppns. 2:8)
The beginning of salvation is surrender to His Divine will.
The expression of salvation is the same.

If we fellowship with Christ in love, desires, ministry, and obedience,
we shall also fellowship with Him in GLORY!

Love ya!
