THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
(Thanks to my friend Bro. Pat Lofton for the story below.)
A little boy was lost in the city.
A police officer found him, and asked,
"Can you remember some place close to where you live?"
The boy thought a minute and said, "I live very near a
church with a big cross on top of it.
If you can get me to that church, I can find my way home."
Now that'll preach and teach!!
2 Cor 4:7
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Each of us has the "treasure" of life.
But it is in "earthen vessels," or jars of clay.
Our lives on earth are temporary.
We are brittle.
We show our flaws.
Our weaknesses are best handled when we give them totally to God.
He's the Master Potter!
He knows how to care for the brittle vessel.
He knows how to mend the flaws.
He knows how to make the temporary life ETERNAL!!
Jesus said, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,
neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." (John 10:28)
Temporary sojourners are we all.
But we are headed for an eternal destiny.
Have you given your jar of clay to Christ?
Remember, if you will come to the cross, you can find your way HOME!
