THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Since I’m no longer a school teacher, it seems when school BEGINS,
I remember the END.
Once, on the last day of school, a student came out of the building.
He had just cleaned out his locker.
He threw papers into the air, and yelled, “I’M FREE! I’M FREE!”
Yes. He was free from the day-to-day schedule of school.
But he was not free to litter the school grounds.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Yes, my Christian friend, Christ has made you FREE!
If you have surrendered to Him, you are FREED:
from the eternal consequences of sin,
to worship and praise Him,
to study your Bible and learn His will in your life,
to join the church of your choice,
to pray and find His presence anytime,
to share the Good News of Jesus with others as an “ambassador” of Christ.
However, there are some things which you are NOT freed to do!
You are NOT freed to:
sully His name with dirty jokes,
spout foul language when you are angry,
be aloof and consider yourself better than others,
utilize prejudice when sharing the Gospel.
To be “free indeed” is to be made a servant of Christ.
And, the servant is obedient to the Master!
We cannot practice obedience without first learning His Word.
Are you “free indeed?”
