THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Mrs. Smartt was fumbling in her purse for her offering when
a large television remote fell out and clattered into the aisle.
The curious usher bent over to retrieve it for her and whispered,
“Do you always carry your TV remote to church?”
“No,” she replied, “but my husband refused to come with me
this morning, and I figured this was the most evil thing I could
do to him legally.”
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run,
and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
LIGHT from the WORD.
Those little words "wait upon" come from the Hebrew
qavah, which means to be bound together and tarry.
We are to wait anxiously for the Lord's return, and to be
entertwined with Him in service while we wait!
Many strands of thread make a string.
Many strands of string make a rope.
Binding them together makes a strong tool!
When you bind yourself to the Lord, to do His will,
it is HE Who makes you strong!
God desires to make the weak strong!
He desires for each Christian to have strength to
diligently walk WITH Him, and to run and soar above
the world's and the devil's trickery and deceit.
The only condition upon which God grants this great
strength is to be entertwined and serve Him.
Bind yourself to God through prayer and Bible study.
Then, serve Him in your daily life.
