A policeman stopped a lady and asked for her license.
He said, “Lady, it says here that you should be
The woman answered, “Well, I have contacts.”
The policeman replied, “I don’t care who you know!
You’re getting a ticket!”
4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and
give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour
is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy
cometh in the morning.
LIGHT from the WORD.
Sometimes, we are like the woman in the joke above.
We say things without thinking how others may react.
Sometimes, we are like the policeman.
We live critically in our thinking, and react wrongly
The Scripture above reminds us of how we are to
FOCUS upon our Lord and His goodness to us!
Yes, life is NOT always fair!
Think of David and how he ran so many years
Saul chased and persecuted David.
But David sought after God's heart!
And, he found that "in His (God's) favour is LIFE!"
David found that each day has sorrow enough;
but each morning brings JOY of new life!
Thus, David said, "Sing unto the LORD, O ye
saints of His!"
David FOCUSED upon the Lord, and
David found SOLACE in the Lord!
When the circumstances of your life cause you
to feel that you are being CHASED;
don't waste your time thinking or acting in
a critical manner.
Instead PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!
"Weeping may endure for a night;
but JOY cometh in the morning!"
FOCUS upon our Lord, and you will find
SOLACE in Him!
