THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Pastor Tom awakened Sunday morning feeling ill.
His wife looked in the drawer, and got what she thought was a
thermometer to check his temperature.
When she took it out of his mouth, it said, "DRY AND WINDY!"
She had used a barometer by mistake!
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his
belly shall flow rivers of living water.
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Light from the Word.
Do you ever feel "dry" in your spiritual life?
Maybe you've grown too independent, trying to accomplish things
in your own power.
Maybe some difficult circumstances have surrounded you.
Maybe you've become so involved in ministry you've forgotten to
maintain your personal relationship with God.
I remember a crusade we were having here in Columbia.
Bro. Joe Senn was preaching one night.
There was a lady on the side, "signing" for those who couldn't hear.
All of a sudden, Bro. Joe stopped.
He looked at the lady and asked,
"Would you please show me the international sign of complete surrender?"
The lady held both arms straight up in the air!
When you find yourself in "the wilderness" of a "dry and thirsty"
Remember where God first found you.
You were praying in total surrender, pleading for His forgiveness!
It was then and there that you found "living water!"
"Return unto me, and I will return unto you,
saith the Lord of hosts..." (Mal 3:7).
