DAILY DEVOTION

HI!

Because they had no reservations at a busy restaurant,
my elderly neighbor and his wife were told there would
be a 45-minute wait for a table.

"Young man, we're both 90 years old," the husband said.
"We may not HAVE 45 minutes."

They were seated immediately.

SCRIPTURE______________________________

James 4:14
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow.
For what is your life?
It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time,
and then vanisheth away.

THOUGHT________________________________

LIGHT from the WORD.

As we get older we appreciate time more.
As George Younce, of The Cathedral Quartet, used to say,
"I have more years behind me than I have ahead of me."

Life is BRIEF.
Look back over the years for a moment.
Remember when you learned to ride a bicycle?
Seems like only yesterday doesn't it?

Life is UNCERTAIN.
None of us know when God may call an end to our time
on this earth.
We are taught to plan for tomorrow, but we are also taught
that we HAVE only today.
This day is a gift from God, and it is to be used for Him.

Forty-five minutes seems like such a short time compared
to a whole day.
What can YOU do in forty-five minutes?
What can you do for God in forty-five minutes?

In 45 minutes, most people can:
shave, bathe, get dressed and eat breakfast,
read seven chapters of the Bible,
visit a lost friend and share the plan of salvation,
visit a sick friend and pray with them,
visit two Christian friends who were not in
church last Sunday,
call four or five people and invite them to church.

Today's life may be tomorrow's vapor!

Take forty-five minutes of your day and use it for Jesus!
It'll give lasting and meaningful purpose to your whole day!

If ya donít PLAN it, ya wonít DO it!

Love ya!
