Today's Devotion:
"From TEMPORARY To ETERNAL"
The "earnest," or down payment of God
to the true beliver is the entrance of His Holy Spirit
into our lives. (See Eph. 1:14)
He constantly assures us of the fact that these
bodies are TEMPORARY, and, that God has
ALREADY determined that one day they will be
CHANGED to be ETERNAL!!
_______SCRIPTURE____________
2Cor. 5:1-5
1 For we know that if our earthly house of this
tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building
of God, an house not made with hands, eternal
in the heavens.
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be
clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found
naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan,
being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed,
but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed
up of life.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing
is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of
the Spirit.

Those who have truly surrendered to Christ are made
NEW!
With that new creation (new birth) there is the
ASSURANCE of "an house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens!"
This body in which we live on earth is a burden!
We age.
We have sickness and accidents.
And SOME of the burden we put upon ourselves by
inappropriate habits.
But when death eventually strips true Christians of
this flesh, we will, by God's grace and mercy, be
clothed with a NEW BODY, which will be a NEW
"building of God!"
When age makes you weak,
when sickness comes to your body,
when accidents bring difficult problems,
BE ASSURED Christian, that your NEW BODY in
Christ is ALREADY being prepared by your LORD!
