THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A teacher was having trouble getting the boys in the class to understand decimals.
Being concerned for their future, she thought and thought about an example which would capture their desire.

Finally, she remembered! In class the next day, she wrote the following example on the board.

"Using decimals, explain the following:
Mickey Mantle went to bat 20 times and got 7 hits. What was his batting average?"

She had no more trouble with the boys understanding decimals!

Think about life for a moment. If such a small thing as the "lot" is controlled by the Lord, how much of your life is under His divine guidance?
Jesus said, "But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered" (Luke 12:7).

Our Holy God put the stars in place and holds the universe by His omnipotence and omniscience.
He certainly knows the affairs of our lives!

The best we can do is to surrender all that we are to Him, and let Him mold us into what He wants us to be.
When we do that, spiritual calm from His Holy presence engulfs our soul.
If we'll just get the DECIMALS right, God will take care of the WHOLE.

God is able to do "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us," (Eph. 3:20).
So let us surrender to Him, and ALLOW His power to work IN us!

God alone is able to give us vision of what He wants us to do.
As the events of life unfold today, let us look for God's guiding hand.
Then we shall see where He wants us to JOIN Him in ministry.

As I enter this day, I will not be anxious about the events of life to be faced.
I will "seek..first the kingdom of God and His righteousness," and let God do the rest.
Anxiety is the companion of Satan, and will only keep me from praying effectively.

Love ya!
