THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Years ago, when I was teaching high school, I came into the classroom after lunch and
there was a note on the board that said, "Get the point!"

I had no idea what that meant, and didn't ask.

As I pulled my chair from under the desk, I looked in the seat (as I always did).
There were three thumbtacks driven through the seat with the point up to where I would sit!

I calmly took my staple gun from the drawer and knocked the thumbtacks out.

Then, I turned to the class and said, "Get a pen and paper; we're going to have a little pop quiz
on what you heard in class yesterday."

After all the moans and groans, they were ready.
I gave the test, and of course no one passed.

Then I turned to the class and said, "Don't EVER be mean to the teacher,,,,,,
GET THE POINT?"

(Of course I threw the test away later.)

John 14:25-26
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will
send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to
your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jesus made it very clear while He was physically there with the apostles that:
The Holy Spirit of God becomes our TEACHER when we begin to study the Bible in obedience to Christ!

Not only will He teach us what we need to know for living as a Christian,
But He will also cause us to REMEMBER what we have learned, so we can ACT upon it!

Some Christians just never get the point.
God wants to give us His Holy Spirit!
And it is amazing what God can do with a Christian who desires to be filled and used.

Christians full of faith are praying, asking God's will and then following it.
They are close to God, and talk to Him about everything.

Christians full of faith are studious in the Bible.
They not only talk to God, but want to hear what He says too.

Christians full of faith are in church regularly, and are supported by loving and encouraging friends.

Christians full of faith spend time influencing others.
They are given faith and power to help others know about Jesus and eternal salvation.

Donít let what you CANíT do keep you from doing what you CAN do!

God's Holy Spirit, Who gives wisdom, is there for all true believers!
Get the point?

Love ya!
