An internationally well-known professional golfer was playing in a tournament.
Without warning, a storm cloud appeared.
And before the horn sounded the warning, lightning struck nearby.
The golfer felt the tingle of the fearful electricity so close to him.

Later, he was interviewed by the press.
They asked, "What did you think when the lightning struck so close?"

He answered, "Next time God wants to play through, I'm gonna move over QUICKLY!"

Ps 77:14-15
14 Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
15 Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

God is known for intervention in the affairs of men.
He intervened for Israel and brought them out of slavery.
He showed them His power when He divided the Red Sea.
He showed them His power in the stormy skies above Mt. Sinai as He delivered His "Word" to Moses.

God has shown you and me His power by personally intervening in history to bring us His glorious offer of salvation (Gal. 4:4).
God has shown you and me His power by delivering us from the slavery of sin through the blood of Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:8-9).
God has shown us His power by giving us His Holy Spirit to "teach" the Word of God to us (John 14:26).

Were it not for the power of the blood of Christ shed at Calvary, we could not be saved.
Were it not for the gospel told us, we could not be saved.
For "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." (Romans 10:17)

If it weren't for the power of God by His Holy Spirit Who "sealed" (Eph. 1:13) us, we would not remain close to Him.
We are "kept by the power of God" (1Peter 1:5) to the full completion of our salvation.

This song serves as a great reminder.
When we face difficulty in our lives, let us meditate upon what God has done for us and draw close to Him for strength.
When we meditate on what He HAS DONE, it is clearer to us what He IS DOING.

God DOES intervene for His children!

Love ya!
