BRUCE MCGEE MINISTRIES
Once I was visiting with a friend of mine who was an
Economics Professor in the university I attended.
We were in his office, and I noticed the final test "key"
on his desk.
When I looked at it for a few moments, I said, "Hey!
These are the same questions you asked us when I
was in your class. Aren't you afraid someone will copy
and sell the answers?"
He said, "No, not really. You see in Economics,
the ANSWERS change!"
30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God?
or with what comparison shall we compare it?
31 It is like a grain of mustard seed , which, when it is sown in the
earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than
all herbs, and shooteth out great branches;
so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
LIGHT from the WORD.
In the Bible, the answers DO NOT change!
But when believed, the Person of the Bible changes people!
This example of the mustard seed exhibits the truth and power
of God's Word.
A mustard seed, when planted, grows into a large bush, or
In that bush, birds come to rest and eat seeds.
Yet, there are plenty of seeds.
Jesus likened the Kingdom of God to this mustard seed/tree.
The Gospel of Jesus may only be only a "mustard seed"
when sown by a Christian.
But when it is genuinely received in the heart of a person,
it grows into a BUSH and produces MUCH FRUIT!
When one plants mustard seeds, one does NOT get apples
or oranges....one gets a mustard plant.
Like the mustard seed:
1) The Gospel of Christ is absolute;
2) It is TRUTH that remains the same;
3) When planted in the heart of a person, the Gospel
produces MUCH FRUIT;
4) The Gospel CONTINUES!
The world has a population of about 7.6 billion people.
Approximately 1.3 billion are Christians.
Can you imagine what would happen if ALL Christians
began planting the "seed" of the Gospel?
