We must admit, God's giving to us is much different from our giving. God's gifts are motivated by love and grace. Ours are more likely to be motivated by gain.

One night some vandals cut down six royal palms along Miami's Flagler Street. Since the palms are very expensive, Dade County authorities weren't sure if they coud replace them right away. But then, someone donated the six palms!

The old palms had been about 15 feet tall and provided a nice foreground for a "FLY DELTA" billboard. The new palms were 35 feet tall - completely hiding the sign.

The new palms were donated by another airline company!

Ps 84:11-12
11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

God is "light" to us. When we were sinners, in darkness and headed for hell, He shined His "Light" of Jesus Christ to show us the way of salvation.

God is a "shield" and protector for those who love Him. He protects the redeemed in order to deliver them into eternal life.

God pours out His "grace" to all men: sinners because they need it, and the saved because they seek it. All men receive breath and being from God. AND the saved receive the "breath of life" and the being of Christ into their souls.

God's grace assists us in every portion of our life: giving divine direction, preserving from evil's grasp, assisting in our difficulties, sanctifying the unworthy, and comforting the hurting. His grace sees to it that He "sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." (Matt 5:45) Grace is the conduit through which God's love flows.

AND (our text says) God gives glory! Every soul already has the "glory" of being made "in the likeness" of God! However, the redeemed have the "glory" of being presently transformed into the likeness of our dear Savior. And one day, one blessed day, we'll receive the "glory" of Christ in all His righteousness!

Yes, God gives "grace AND glory" to all men.

But very "blessed" (blissfully happy) is the man that trusts in Christ. He not only has received breath and being, but also eternal life through Christ our Lord!

Praise God today for His "grace and glory"!!

Love ya,
