Eph 4:15-16
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Today, let your eyes and your heart focus upon the words in verse 15, "grow up into him in all things..."

"All things" means to grow as Christ did, and to perform our ministries under the auspices of the "body" -- the church.

Each born-again Christian is given a talent, skill or ability to do something in ministry. And we should GROW in that ability, then be PRODUCTIVE with it through the church.

There are three ways to grow in Christian abilities. The FIRST is to grow through Bible Study. God gives us all the food we need for spiritual growth through His Word. To be a Christian is to study our "manual for living." Imagine what a mechanic would be like if he didn't study his manual on the automobile!

The SECOND is through prayer. God grants us peace with Him and strength from Him as we pray. We cannot be strong in the Lord if we are not in contact with Him! Seven days without prayer makes one weak!

The THIRD is through exercise! A child will never grow to his full adult peak if he does not exercise. A Christian cannot grow to his/her full potential without USING the abilities God gives him/her.

Let us not be Christians who are stunted and dwarfed by failing to grow. Yes, there are "winter times" in our lives, when we are stagnant. But there should also be spring, summer and fall when we are productive.

Let us be good "business managers" accountable to Christ for our abilities.
And let us show our accountability in and through His church body.

Love ya,
Bruce
