I can tell you one verse in the Bible I will NEVER forget!

My dad used it once when he gave me a good whipping!

"Foolishness is bound in the heart of the child;
but the rod of correction will drive it far from him."

(Prov. 22:15)

Prov 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

LIGHT from the WORD.

The words "Train up" come from the Hebrew chanak (khaw-nak').
It means to educate, to initiate, to discipline.

No training can genuinely be given unless discipline is correctly used.
I remember my basic training in the USAF.
On a field exercise, we were to crawl under some barb-wired fence.
That was the training exercise.

But included with it was the discipline.
The Sgt. said, "Gentlemen, those are LIVE ROUNDS firing
above your head! Keep your belly to the GROUND!"

My pastor, Bro. Warren Maxwell, used Prov. 22:6 yesterday.
And, he stated that we are to train the child "in the
way he SHOULD go."

Children and youth have thoughts and desires toward those things
which hold "thorns and snares."
The reason they think that way is because they haven't learned
that there are boundaries which when crossed present problems.
They need "TRAINING!"

A child who enters pre-school or kindergarten should already
have these traits ingrained in their lives by the parents!

Schools only educate.
Parents TRAIN!

Get involved in your child's life!

Love ya!
