A tourist was visiting in a large city and lost all sense of direction.
He stopped at a newsstand to get directions.
He asked the owner of the newsstand,
"Which direction is NORTH?"

The man replied, "Look buddy. We got UPtown,
DOWNtown, and CROSStown.
We ain't got no North!"

Prov 12:8-11
8 A man shall be commended according to his wisdom:
but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
9 He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than
he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast:
but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread:
but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

Light from the Word.

Good directions are hard to find nowadays!
Most folk just grow up in relation to their own locale,
and aren't concerned with wisdom with which they
might help others.

Life is too precious to waste without learning.
And our lives do affect other people's lives.
It is important, particularly, that Christians learn God's Word.

We are commanded to help others come to know Christ. (Matt. 28:18-20)

It is our Lord's command that we give "instruction"
to others about obtaining eternal life in Christ.

True wisdom comes only from surrender to Christ
and following His instructions.
And that wisdom, once received, is reflected in our
character and the manner in which we communicate
with others.

True righteousness is reflected in the mannerisms of life.
The person who shows no integrity in his life, will be
"despised" by others.

A "good man" will care for his possessions (verse 10).
And a "good man" will WORK with what he has (verse 11).

Christians have received eternal life.
Let us work with that, and learn;
so that we might give good directions and
instruction to others.

Love ya!
