A salesman in large firm was assigned to secure a
very important client.
However he failed in his mission.
He sent a telegram to his secretary, so she would be
able to break the news indirectly to the boss.
The telegram read "Failed to secure client, prepare boss."
He received a telegram back in only a few moments.
It read, "Boss prepared, prepare yourself."
So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
LIGHT from the WORD.
Most of the time, when we remember David, we
remember him as king of Israel.
However, this poem (song) was written while he
was running from Saul.
David ran from Saul for many years!
Because, Saul wanted to kill him!
Saul KNEW David was anointed to be king!
In the Scripture above, David admits his sin of DOUBT.
In verse 3 of this same Psalm, David says,
"For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw
the prosperity of the wicked."
David was suffering because of Saul.
He allowed his heart to see only the present physical things.
He had forgotten that, in the end, the "foolish"
will be the ones who suffer the greatest.
And, he had allowed his mind to wonder away from
the END of those who serve God.
All too often, we are much like David.
We doubt God when He is perfectly faithful.
We set our soul's eyes upon present circumstances
and forget the END result of serving our Lord!
We must align ourselves with David and admit that those
thoughts are "foolish."
Whatever problems we are facing today, Christians,
let us be reminded that:
If God brought us TO it, He will bring us THROUGH it!
If you find yourself doubting God, ADMIT it's "foolish"!
Remember: God is PREPARED!
Are YOU preparing YOURSELF?
