THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

When we were kids, we used to climb up in a small sapling, and
begin to sway the tree.

It was fun.
Until one day, the sapling BROKE!

Gravity took over, and I hit the ground pretty hard!

1 Thess 4:13-18
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning
them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which
have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them
also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which
are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall
we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

THOUGHT____________________________________

One of these days, Jesus will split the sky!
There will be a great “shout,” and “the voice of the archangel.”
The “trump of God” will sound LOUDLY!

When that happens, gravity will be DEFIED!
Bodies of the saved, those who are “in Christ,” will RISE!
Those who have died “in Christ” will rise first,
then, we who “remain” will rise second!

Paul actually looked for this event in his day!
One can tell that by reading verse 15 above.
It’s in the present perfect tense!
Paul even writes about this again in 1Cor. 15:51-54.

Paul says these are words of “comfort.”
No matter how BAD the world gets, there WILL come a day
when Christ will call to His people, and they will
DEFY GRAVITY and rise to meet Him!

The question is: Are YOU ready?
It could happen ANY DAY now!

Are you “in Christ?”
Is your life enveloped in His purposes?

Love ya!
