An older gentleman was on the operating table awaiting surgery and he insisted
that his son,a renowned surgeon, perform the operation.

As he was about to get the anesthesia, he asked to speak to his son.
"Yes, Dad, what is it?"

"Don't be nervous, son; do your best and just remember, if it doesn't go well,
if something happens to me, your mother is going to come and live with you and your wife...."

Ah, being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.

"Lord, keep Your arm around my shoulder and Your hand over my mouth!"

Proverbs 22:17-21
17 Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart
unto my knowledge.
18 For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal
be fitted in thy lips.
19 That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day,
even to thee.
20 Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge,
21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou
mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?

Words of wisdom are found in the Bible, which is authored by God Himself.
The "words of the wise" are found in those who trust God.

Listening to God's Word will bring "pleasant" things.
Speaking God's Word is speaking truth.

God has shown immaculately why we should "trust in the Lord," and not in man.

God has "written" to all who will read and learn "excellent things in counsels
and knowledge."

There is virtually no subject known to man that is not addressed in the Bible.

In God's Word is the "certainty" of truth.
And virtually every question of life can be answered from the Bible.

AGING is knowing to WHOM to listen, and WHY!

"Bow down" your ear and HEAR the Word of God.
And "APPLY" your heart to His knowledge from the Bible.

Love ya!
