"HOW Churches DIE"
A local pastor preached a sermon on Sunday morning
entitled,
Why The Church DIED!
During the 20 minute sermon, he spoke about 3 important
things the church did not do:
1) The church did not visit with the sick.
2) The church provided no educational and recreational
activities for the young or the old.
3) The church had not seen a baptism in 3 years.
At the end of the sermon, the pastor rolled out a coffin.
He invited the members to come and look at HOW the
church died.
As each member approached the coffin, there was a
MIRROR tilted at just the right angle!

2 Cor 5:14-15
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus
judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not
henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for
them, and rose again.

_______THOUGHT______________
A genuine Christian cannot help but be witnesses to their
genuine salvation!
Though the world around them seeks to suppress them,
the Christian remains CONSTRAINED and SUSTAINED
by the presence of God's Holy Spirit IN them!
By the presence of God's Holy Spirit, He is constantly
working IN the Christian to bring OUT his/her testimony.
God's design of true salvation is to bring CHANGE to
the saved person!
The Bible says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is
a NEW CREATURE: old things are passed away; behold,
all things are become NEW." (2Cor 5:17)
That NEWNESS is what makes Christians
"AMBASSADORS for Christ!" (2Cor. 5:20)
God PROVIDES constraining and sustaining!
God PROVIDES all that is needed to be an evangelical
witness in the world.
Failing to UTILIZE those provisions, causes the church
to DIE!
