Some folk, when they retire, intend to do nothing.
The worst thing about doing nothing is
you can never take a day off!
1 Thess 5:6
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others;
but let us watch and be sober.
LIGHT from the WORD.
One does not get a "day off" from being a Christian!
Other folk are watching closely to see if Christians
will maintain correct conduct!
We must look at each day as 2 things:
1) a constant struggle with evil, and
2) a constant joy for our Lord.
Jesus said, “My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”
The indication I receive from that is: they NEVER stop!
We should maintain awareness of God's CLOSENESS!
We should always be alert and mindful to the principles
and guidance of God’s Word.
The greatest guilt I find in myself is:
not doing ENOUGHfor Jesus!
The more I pay attention to Him,
the more alert I am to the uninvited guest of sin!
Don’t be found doing nothing for Jesus.
Be vigilant, diligent – ever watching for His return, and
telling others of His glorious Gospel!
