How easily we forget!

Two elderly ladies had been friends for many decades.
Over the years they had shared all kinds of activities and adventures.
Lately, their activities had been limited to meeting a few times a week
to play cards.

One day they were playing cards when one looked at the other and
said, ‘Now don’t get mad at me….I know we’ve been friends for a
long time…..but I just can’t think of your name!
I’ve thought and thought, but I can’t remember it.
Please tell me what your name is.’

Her friend glared at her.
For at least three minutes she just stared and glared at her.
Finally she said, ‘How soon do you need to know?’

Luke 8:38-39
38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought
him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God
hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published
throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

Light from the Word.

The Gadarene man (Luke 8:26-39) had been possessed of many demons.
Jesus had miraculously and graciously healed him.

After being healed, the man wanted to remain with Jesus.
Jesus told the man to return to his own home and show "how great
things God hath done unto thee."

When Jesus heals us from our many demons of sinfulness,
our main purpose is to show others
"how great things God hath done unto thee."

How easily we forget our main purpose of personal lifestyle evangelism!

Let us again turn to Jesus in repentance, and ask Him to totally heal us!

He shall remind us of our purpose: to show our relatives, neighbors and
co-workers "how great things God hath done unto" us!

Through our testimony of how Jesus has saved us the devil is DEFEATED!
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word
of their testimony;"
(Rev 12:11).

Love ya!
