Today's Devotion:
"How LONG"
When our children were young, and we
lived in Texarkana, Arkansas, we would
make the three and one-half hour trip to
West Monroe, Louisiana to visit with their
grandparents.
On the drive, our children would play in
the back seat.
After awhile, they became tired of the
small space.
One of them would ask, How much longer
Daddy?
Knowing they were so young, and memories
were short, I would almost always say,
Just 5 more minutes.
After about the 3rd time, one of them would
ask, Daddy, are you sure we will get there
TODAY?

Ps 107:7
And he led them forth by the right way, that
they might go to a city of habitation.
KJV
_______THOUGHT______________
Does your "space" sometime seem small,
cramped and filled with difficulties?
Being saved does not mean we will always
have peace.
Troubles arise.
When we first were saved, we felt our strength
was enough to climb spiritual mountains.
But weakness comes.
Sometimes our spiritual "ship" is in calm waters.
Then, storms rage.
We must remember, the difficulties of the journey
are NOT outside God's plan!
For it is "...through much tribulation (we) enter
into the kingdom of God." (Acts 14:22)
We can be assured that our Lord is leading us
by the "right way!"
It is through the difficulties that we learn our Lord
has an "expected end" for us (Jer. 29:11)
Life is filled with obstacles, and time passes.
Then, we, as children of the Lord, cry out:
"HOW LONG?"
We must rest in His promise to complete the
journey with us, and lead us into that great
"city of habitation."
Love ya!
