LIGHT from the WORD.

When we lived in Texarkana, Arkansas, and our children were young,
we used to make that 3 and 1/2 hour trip on the weekend to see our
parents and kinfolk.

Our children were young, and they would play in the back seat.
After awhile, they would ask, "How long Daddy?"
Knowing they had short memory, I would say, "5 more minutes."

But soon, they would be tired, and would ask,
"Daddy are you SURE we'll get there TODAY?"
Then, we would stop at a store, and get a coke and a
candy bar for refreshement.

Christian, the trip from here to heaven seems LONG to us.
Sometimes, our space seems cramped and filled
with difficulties.

Sometimes changing circumstances causes us to ask,
“How long, Lord?”
Yesterday, our strength was such to climb spiritual mountains,
yet today we feel weak.
Yesterday, our ship was in calm waters, today the storm rages.
And, we ask again, “How long, Lord?”

Yesterday, we did not have closing of churches by an
abusive government.
Yesterday, we did not have left-wing socialists
promoting baby murder.

Let us be assured there IS a way!
There is a "right way!"
And, God is faithful to LEAD us in that right way!

Let us STOP for a moment!
Let's get REFRESHED through PRAYER!

Let us remember, that "we must through much
tribulation enter into the kingdom of God!"

(See Acts 14:22)

TOMORROW we shall inhabit that wonderful "city"
God has provided for His children.

TODAY, let us be REFRESHED in prayer, and ENDURE
the spiritual mountains we must climb!

1 Cor 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know
that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

Love ya!
