THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The family gave grandmother a birthday party.
Five-year-old Johnny asked his grandmother, “How old are you?”
She said, “Thirty-nine and holding, son.”
He asked, “How old would you be if you ‘let go’?”

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Light from the Word.
A Christian, who is really growing in “the knowledge of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ,” will also grow in “grace.”
Grace is exemplified in character.
It is giving without thought of return.
Eph 4:15 says, “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into
Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:”
To know Christ, and to grow in knowing Him better, also produces:
humility, happiness, and holiness.
Prov 15:33 says, “The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility.”
Ps 146:5 says, “Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,
whose hope is in the LORD his God:”
Holiness is a state of being.
It is living in a righteous manner because we live FOR our Lord.
That means we live with Him at the center of our lives.
And, we are willing to do as He directs.
How old would you be if you “let go, and let GOD!”
