His request approved, the Fox News photographer quickly used a cell phone to call the local airport to charter a flight.
He was told a twin engine plane would be waiting for him at the airport.

Arriving at the airfield, he spotted a plane warming up outside a hanger.
He jumped in with his bag, slammed the door shut, and shouted, 'Let's go'.

The pilot taxied out, swung the plane into the wind and took off.
Once in the air, the photographer instructed the pilot, 'Fly over the valley and make low passes so I can take pictures of the fires on the hillsides.'

'Why?' asked the pilot.

'Because I'm a photographer for Fox Cable News,' he responded. 'And I need to get some close up shots.'

The pilot was strangely silent for a moment, finally he stammered,
'So, what you're telling me, is . .. you're NOT my flight instructor?

Jude 20-21
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Position with God is relative.
If we have no relationship with God, we have no position.
If we have a relationship with God, we can always BETTER our position.

What's YOUR position with God?

If you have a relationship with Him, your position is disciple or willing learner.
You can enhance your position with God through prayerful meditation upon God's Word, and spiritual worship.

Our Scripture says we should be “building up” ourselves in “faith.”
This is improving your position with God.
And it is described in three ways here.

1) Be praying.
Remember, your faith in Christ is “most holy.”
You can have a conversation (prayer) with God at any time!

2) Keep the focus of our lives on “the love of God.”
God wants your general focus to be on Him.
The manner in which you show the “love of God” is through obedience to His direction.

3) Be attentive to, and “looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ,” which leads us to “eternal life.”
One day, and soon I believe, Christ will come again in great mercy.
He himself will usher us into the fullness of “eternal life.”

Are you improving your position with God?

Love ya!
