Is 3:10
Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be
well with him: for they shall eat the fruit
of their doings.
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

Horatio Spafford was a lawyer and an elder
in his church.

He invested in real estate in the Spring of
1871; however the GREAT FIRE of Chicago
reduced most of his investment.

In 1873, he and his wife Anna planned a
vacation in England to see his friend Dwight
L. Moody preaching.

Pressing business caused him to stay behind,
while his wife and four daughters sailed to
England.

The ship was wrecked, and his four daughters
were killed. Only his wife was saved.
Soon, Spafford sailed to join his grieving wife.

As the ship passed over the place where his
daughters were killed, Spafford wrote the
song: "It Is Well."

Our Scripture for today produces a great
principle of faith.
The Spirit of God dwells in the spirit of those
who have given their lives to Christ.
Out of Him, in them, is produced the fruit of
their doings.

Whatever the horrors of life may bring, the
saved can have peace from God to say:
It IS Well with my soul!
