Many years ago churches conducted "open-air" meetings.
They were efforts at revival, inviting anyone to come worship.

A young man in one of those meetings was giving his
testimony. He was a new Christian, and he stuttered around a bit.

An atheist passed by, and listened.
Ridiculing the boy, he said, "You should be ashamed of
yourself for talking like that!"

The young man replied, "I AM ashamed of myself,
but I'm NOT ashamed of Jesus!"

2 Tim 1:12
"...I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed,
and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have
committed unto him against that day."

LIGHT from the WORD.

"That day" WILL come!
The day Paul was speaking of is the day Christ will judge ALL men!
ONLY those who have surrendered their lives to Christ will
NOT be "ashamed" in that day!!

There is MORE good news from this verse.
When we surrender to Christ, His salvation "KEEPS" us!!

A Christian may not be sinless, but he does sin less!
But, when that Christian sins, he KNOWS God will FORGIVE!
A Christian who sins, will feel the convicting power of God's
Holy Spirit, and he will confess the sin before God and
ask forgiveness!

God's salvation through Jesus Christ is ETERNAL!
From the moment it begins, we are KEPT by the power of God.

Though we may stammer and stutter in our testimony,
we are NOT ashamed of our Lord Who NEVER abandons
His child!

Say it over in your heart:
"I am NOT ashamed of my Jesus!"

Love ya!
