THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A man was vacationing in London.
His hotel room was on the 10th floor.
He walked out on the balcony, and heard a beautiful voice
floating up from the street, singing a gospel song.
As he looked down, he saw the man who was singing, standing right outside the hotel entrance.
So, he went down to see this man with the beautiful voice.
As he opened the door, he was almost frightened by a dry,
cracked, and very LOUD voice singing!
The voice sounded SO GOOD up on the 10th floor!
And, he thought: How beautiful our praise must be way up in heaven!
Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
When we actually FOCUS on some things, they are totally different from what we first perceived.
A cheetah, for instance, looks sleek and slim in pictures.
But when you see them up close, they're hairy, dirty, stinky!
Too often, we, like the Athenians, focus on far too many things!
It's all a matter of perception!
God said through Isaiah, "Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not." (Isa 6:9)
Most folk view the Bible as "thou shalt not(s)."
But when you read, study and listen, there are many beautiful things in the Bible.
If you haven't seen the Bible as a love letter from God, then
perhaps you need to change positions so you can perceive better!
A position of skepticism will not reveal the beauty of the Bible.
It must be viewed from a position of FAITH!
Do you HEAR that?
God is speaking to you personally!
Are you in the proper position to view with perception?
Read, study, hear, in faith -- and you will perceive!
