THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The State Trooper was sitting under the overpass on the interstate highway.
He saw a lady pass by.
It looked like she was texting.
So, he drove along behind her for awhile to be sure, then he turned his lights on.
The lady didn’t even slow down.
So, the State Trooper pulled alongside her car, rolled his window down, and beeped the siren.
The lady rolled her window down too, but didn’t slow down.
The Trooper could see she was KNITTING!
He said, “PULL OVER!”
She said, “NO. SWEATER!” and kept driving.... and knitting!
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Revelation 3:20 is not only an invitation to salvation from eternal hell,
it is an invitation to continued salvation during our life on earth.
Jesus said (Rev. 3:21 above) those who “overcame” will be granted to sit with Him on His throne.
The question most believers face is: HOW do I “overcome?”
The answer is in the verse before (Rev. 3:20 above).
LET Jesus into your life.
KEEP Jesus in your life.
Maintain a personal relationship with Him through daily prayer and Bible study.
Life sometimes throws us curves that would distract us.
And sometimes we, with Job, might say, “Oh that I knew where I might find him!” (Job 23:3)
Let us remember, Jesus has promised: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee!” (Heb. 13:5)
Jesus has a designed end for our sweater of life.
Let us just keep knitting!
And, be sure of His PRESENCE!
