THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The 16-year-old son wanted a car.
Dad said, "Ok son...3 conditions.
Bring the grades up to "C" and above.
Do your chores without complaining.
And, get a haircut."
The son said, "Ok Dad."
Next report card was 3 "B's" and 2 "A's"!
He had done all the chores before being told, and no complaining.
So, he asked Dad about the car.
Dad said, "You didn't meet all the conditions. Still no haircut."
Son, "But Dad, Jesus had long hair."
Dad, "Yes. And Jesus WALKED everywhere He went!"
9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Light from the Word.
Our personal relationship with God opens the way for His expedient answering of our prayers!
Remember, He is GOD; we are SERVANTS in need!
We do not pray as a President commanding a general!
We pray as servants pleading with the Master!
"Ask," "seek," and "knock!"
We don't simply ask.
We also seek His will to DO His will.
And, we continue to knock on His door with our request.
If we do not, then the way is not "opened," and we shall not receive or find!
Prayer is an ACTIVITY, not a once-in-awhile "feed me"!
