THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Six-year-old Angie came home from school with a blue ribbon.
She said she had won it for knowing an answer in natural history.
"I said a giraffe had 3 legs."

Mom said, "But honey, a giraffe has four legs."

Angie said, "Mebe so, but I was the closes of anybody else!"

SCRIPTURE_____________________________________________________

1 Peter 1:1-8
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Praise God!
He has saved us from the penalty of sin - eternal death!

Praise God!
He is saving us from the power of sin - the temptations and trials of life!

Praise God!
He is moving us TOWARD an inheritance that is incorruptible, undefiled, and never fades away!

Now, the WAY in which God is moving us is by "sanctification of the Spirit," which constantly moves us in OBEDIENCE to Christ.
And THAT is a real good definition of FAITH. It is how faith works. The dynamic power of God IN us to keep us in obedience to Christ.

Praise God!
We are KEPT by faith until the end result of regeneration and sanctification -- eternal glory being that end result!

Let the power of God's Holy Spirit work in you today!

Love ya,
Bruce
