A man was recovering from surgery when the Surgical Nurse appears and asks him how he is feeling.

"I'm O. K. but I didn't like the four-letter-word the doctor used in surgery," he answered.

"What did he say," asked the nurse.

Ps 56:9
When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

Oh what meaning we should derive from that phrase "God is for me!"

God has been "for us" since the beginning of time.
In fact, He created time in order to create us!

He was "for us" even in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve committed the first sin.
God came CALLING!
And He called until they came out and confessed their sin.
Then God provided an offering for their souls, and clothing for their nakedness.

He has been "for us" since before we were born.
Because it was even before the world began that God committed His only begotten Son to come and pay the ransom for our sinfulness.

God has loved us from before the beginning, and all through the difficult times of humanity.
His love is purely depicted in the cross of Christ.

And if we are committed to Him, then He HEARS our prayers!
So when we cry out to Him for help, we can "know" that He is listening!

The enemy of the world, Satan, is still trying to defile mankind.
Unbelievers are still trying to defame Christians today.
Alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, pornography, and abortion are enemies of Christians today.

OH! How we need to KNOW that God hears our prayers!
And, OH! How we need to PRAY!

Through prayer our personal relationship with God is strengthened.
And when we have a strong relationship with Him, we have a greater impact on society!

Love ya!
