THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A friend of mine once said,
"I'm looking forward to our Lord coming soon.
Then, I won't hafta breathe the air off a dog's back!"
Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof:
and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
Light from the Word.
Sometimes we look around and things seem dismal.
But God reminds us that our "end" is better than our "beginning!"
We had our beginning wet, slimy, angry at leaving a warm place
and demanding attention: "Proud in spirit!"
Yet, when we live "patient in spirit," we realize our Lord has a
better "end" in mind for us!
When we surrender to Christ, we KNOW:
HisRobeOfRighteousness "robe of righteousness" shall be ours!
His glorious heaven shall be where we reside eternally!
To walk the streets of gold, we must tread the mire of this world.
There can be no crown without a cross!
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear
what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear,
we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Keep reminding yourself of the "end" God has in mind for you!
Live "patient in spirit," and KNOW what comes after!
