THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
By God's grace, our great-grandson, Kaison, is staying with us.
At the end of the day, when he is tired, he will come to me and lift up his arms.
I'll pick him up, and he lies there quietly in my arms while I rub his back.
Play time is forgotten.
The bumps and scrapes of the day are gone.
It's just time to be held.
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord:
whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
If God had desired, He could have brought us into His perfect heaven upon our conversion.
His salvation is utterly complete at the instant of our repentance and surrender to Christ.
Upon that moment, we are given the right to become "sons of God." (John 1:12)
Upon that moment, we are "accepted in the Beloved." (Eph. 1: 6)
Upon that moment, we are "washed, ...sanctified, ...(and) justified in the name of the Lord Jesus,
and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Cor 6:11)
WHY then are we left here?
It is that we might "live unto the Lord!" (Rom. 14:9 above)
And, that by our living, we might bring others to know the LOVE of Christ!
It is at God's discretion "whether we live (today) unto the Lord;" or
whether we "die (today) unto the Lord."
So, let us live as "we are the Lord's!"
At the end of each day, may you go to Christ with uplifted arms saying,
KNOW His love, that you may SHARE His love with others.
Then during each day, may your purpose be to share the LOVE of Christ
