DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Three men were on a fishing trip, and decided
they should "bare their souls" to one another.
But they also agreed never to tell another soul.
The first one said, "I must confess, that I enjoy
an occasional cigar."
The third one said, "Can we go home now?"
The second one said, "Now we agreed, so I'll tell
you my problem. I must confess, I enjoy an occasional drink."
The third one asked, "Can we go home now?"
The first and second men said, "Now we agreed,
so you tell us your fault."
The third one said, "Well, I must confess,
I'm a gossip; and, I canít WAIT to get home!"

SCRIPTURE______________________________

2 Pet 2:1-2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people,
even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily
shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord
that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of
whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

LIGHT from the WORD.

As early as Adam and Eve, Satan hissed implied doubt
of the Word of God: "Yea, hath God said....?" (See Gen. 3:1)

But over, and over again, God's Word affirms purity,
accuracy, integrity, inerrancy, and whole truth.

Our forefathers in this nation believed that Adam and Eve
were real people, and that Satan was a real being.
Yes, they believed that Moses really saw a burning bush
that was not consumed, and that Jonah was indeed
swallowed by a whale.

But some people today would have us doubt the Word of God.
They try to introduce the "free will" and spirit of man to determine
on his own what parts of God's Word to believe or disbelieve.
They tout justification by works, affirmation without confession
and same-sex marriages.
Their statements seem to ring with the same hiss of Satan!
"Yea, hath God said....?"

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits
whether they are of God: because many false prophets are
gone out into the world."
(1John 4:1)

To know the truth, study the truth!
"For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven."
(Psalm 119:89)

Friends, do not be deceived by the "false prophets"
of the world today.
STUDY the Word of God, and know the TRUTH!

Love ya!
