An older gentleman was awaiting surgery and he insisted
that his son,a renowned surgeon, perform the operation.

As he was about to get the anesthesia, he asked to speak
to his son.

"Yes, Dad, what is it?"

"Don't be nervous, son; do your best and just remember,
if it doesn't go well, if something happens to me, your mother
is going to come and live with you and your wife...."

Ah, being young and wise is beautiful,
but being old and wise is comfortable.

Proverbs 22:17-21
17 Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise,
and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.
18 For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee;
they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.
19 That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known
to thee this day, even to thee.
20 Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels
and knowledge,
21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words
of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them
that send unto thee?

LIGHT from the WORD.

Words of wisdom are found in the Bible, which is authored by
God Himself.
Also, the "words of the wise" are found in those who

God has SHOWN why we should "trust in the Lord,"
and not in man.
God has "written" to all who will read and learn
"excellent things in counsels and knowledge."

There is virtually no subject known to man that is not
addressed in the Bible.

AGING is knowing to WHOM we should listen, and WHY!

"Bow down" your ear and HEAR the Word of God.
And "APPLY" your heart to His knowledge from the Bible.

Then, SPEAK wisdom from God to others!

Love ya!
