John Bunyan was arrested for "devilishly and perniciously abstaining from coming to church to hear Divine service,
and of being a common upholder of several unlawful meetings and conventicles, to the great disturbance and distraction
of the good subjects of this kingdom, contrary to the laws of our sovereign lord, the king."

When brought before the judge, Bunyan could have been dismissed IF,
He would simply STOP preaching in Jesus' Name.
But, Bunyan said, "if I was out of prison today, I would preach the Gospel tomorrow, by the help of God."

The result was 12 years in prison.

However, the result PRODUCED the writing of "Pilgrim's Progress," an immeasurable honor to God!

Psalm 30:8-12
8 I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
10 Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

When David's life was again turned to turmoil with war, he called upon God for deliverance.

We shall praise God forever in glory.
But what about here on earth?
David said God could get no "profit" from him upon this earth if he were dead.

Again, the difficulties of life had taken David from the "mountain" to the "valley."
But God delivered him!

God turned David's mourning and sorrow into dancing and praise.
When we are saved, and know that God is with us, the emotional difficulties of life can be
changed into joy and singing through that knowledge.
Therefore, David makes the commitment to PRAISE God continually.

And so should we, as Christians, make that same commitment.

Friends, the only profit we can give God on this earth is praise!
Sometimes, in our prosperity, we begin to think every day on this earth will be as it is today.
And we forget to PRAISE GOD!

And, sometimes the "valleys" of life are God's way to bring us back to giving Him PRAISE!

When your life is going through "valleys," be sure to give God profit by praising Him!

Praise Him in ALL things!
And, your awareness of His presence will be more acute!

Love ya!
